In Roanoke, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Virginia, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Roanoke is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Roanoke follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place is a life great! These folks really care about their customers. Always helpful and friendly with an amazing inventory! I've bought the beer making kit, next I'm going to buy a grow tent so I can have fresh herbs all winter long. Tommy and Jeremy are great guys!

The best buying experience I've had, yes his prices r a little hi but everyone had to eat! He well makes up for it n his knowledge! Dude went to college to learn how to grow! He knows everything, and is also become a good friend! I'd rather support a friend then some online Yahoo! So I'll b buying my stuff there, like I've been for the past 9 years! I recommend you u go by and chat before u begin your grow... he will save you alot of problems. And if u do have a problem he will help u! U can't get that online! Chris is the best! Thanks for reading! Robert. Sml

It's an ok store for home brewing supplies. They are over priced on a lot of the stuff they have in stock and claim that competitive with online stores when they are not. I went there for some grain and it was $2 a pound and they claimed on northern Brewer it was $2.50 a pound. So I pulled out my smart phone to compare and on northern Brewer it was $1.39 and they refused to price match. If you can wait a few days to have something delivered from an online home brew supplier I would and that kills me to say because I believe in buying local when you can!

Owner was knowledgeable and helpful during the buying experience, had a decent selection of merchandise with a mark-up of online prices. BUYER BEWARE - You can only return items for "Store Credit", and not for refunds. Wish I had known this initially, I would have probably taken my business elsewhere.
